Preparing For My Future

Preparing For My Future, KiaSalter.com

Have you ever had so many ideas in your head that you wanted to accomplish but didn’t have enough hours in the day to do so? Well, I feel like that’s where I am currently in my life. When the new year hit, I had so many things I wanted to do that the enormity of the situation c completely shut me down. Never in my life have I ever had a bunch of ideas cripple me until I had no idea what to do.

So I decided then and there, instead of allowing this thing defeat me, I was going to prepare for my future the right way.

No more rushing into things. No more flying by the seat of my pants. And definitely no more allowing things to infiltrate my brand that doesn’t really go with my brand statement. And we won’t even go into not allowing blog pressure, or the envy of looking at what others bloggers are doing, affect me anymore. I mean I’m a 7 year blog vet, I should know better. But I’ve realized sometimes things happen to even the best of us. So instead of beating myself up, it’s time to do things the right way.

In order to do that, I’ve decided to do something radical. I decided to take 2 months off.

No blogging what so ever. No posting on social media. Nada. It was time to go back to the old school ways of life and write everything down.

So if you’re wondering why you haven’t seen me in the last month, that’s the reason. I’ve been making plans. Writing and collecting my thoughts in a cohesive way. And I’ve been removing everything that doesn’t align with making this brand a success for me. All in an effort to prepare for my future and never feel crippled again.

And I have to say, it’s working.

Even though I’m half way through this process, I’ve learned that it’s okay to take a much needed blogging break. Especially if you want to make sure your brand a success. After all I’m my only employee, so why aren’t I treating myself right? Which is what I plan to do for now on.

I have one more month in my blogging sabbatical. And I plan to make the most out of preparing for my future. I will also be sprucing up the site a bit to go with some of the new exciting things I have coming up.

So I will see you all back here, hopefully no later than March 12, 2018 with all new original editorials, a new product line, and maybe a new hoster. Wish me luck!
