Jewel Tone Interiors

Jewel Tone Interior | KiaSalter.com

This week I discovered something I love more than neutrals, and that is jewel tone interiors. My first impression of jewel tone interiors were always dark, too moody, and just overall flamboyant. But as we all know first impressions can sometimes be misleading. I can remember my first job interview (I know you’re probably thinking, how does your first interview apply here but go with me for a moment). I was prepared, excited, and couldn’t wait to conquer the world. And as soon as I sat down to have my interview, my brain went blank. Has that ever happened to you?

I sat there and forgot everything I was supposed to say. It was a disaster to say the least. Of course I didn’t get the job because my first impression sucked. But if they saw me now, I think they would give me a second look. Which is exactly what I gave the jewel tone trend. And when I did, I realized, every jewel toned interior didn’t have to be dark. Some could be vibrant, sexy, and alluring. Which means this trend can definitely add a bit of sensual elegance and drama into your home.

Remember first impressions aren’t everything. So if you’re looking to try something new in your home or you’re just sick of the same ol’ thing, then maybe you should think of incorporating jewel tone. What’s the point of being an adult if you can’t have some fun and design your home the way you want too.
