Here’s a simple truth, stress doesn’t have to take up residence in your life if you don’t want it to.
When I was younger, I had no idea what stress really was because I never allowed it to affect me. But as I got older, things changed. I had more responsibility. I had people looking to me for help. I had bills to pay. I had a brand to build. I had things I wanted to do like travel and try to take care of me. With a full plate, it was easy for stress to creep into my everyday life.
Until one day I decided to finally do something about it. So I begin to think about what was the one thing I loved to do but didn’t do enough of. For me the answer was simple, create. I love to create. So why not combat the bullshit in my life with creativity. So every day, for at least 30 minutes, I took time out for me to create something beautiful. And I noticed a change in me. I no longer felt anxiety but for the first time, I felt free.

Whenever I pick up a book, I always find myself taken to another place, another world. Which allows me to forget about real life for a little while. Getting out of the house is always a good thing. But when you pair that with capturing photos of the things you love, then you’ve turned a regular activity into a stress-free one. And it doesn’t hurt that you have memories to share with your family and friends.
When I first heard about adult coloring books I thought people were out of their minds. But I never thought my mother would decide to try it out for herself.
